Nord Cryo offers RF Cables that are in production use in tens of quantum computers worldwide.

Nord Cryo Line RF Cables Available

Nord Cryo Line RF Cables are designed for both room-temperature use and use inside the cryostat. All cables have an impedance of 50 ohms, with reflections below −20 dB up to 14 GHz.

The RF Cable category currently includes four product types:

1. Nord Cryo Line - Cryogenic Superconducting Coaxial Cables

Superconducting and thermally insulating cryogenic cables, ideal for high-frequency flux control lines. Superconducting behavior at DC and low frequencies helps eliminate Joule heating along the wiring chain. Made with niobium-titanium (NbTi), with a critical temperature of 9 K.

2. Nord Cryo Line - Cryogenic High-Thermal-Conductivity Coaxial Cables

Designed for use within a single temperature range, for example at the MXC stage, to connect cryogenic devices to each other and maintain good thermalization. These cables are hand-formable for neat routing, non-magnetic for compatibility with sensitive quantum devices, and available with SMA, SMP, SMPM, and MMCX connector options. Typical lengths range from 5 cm to 100 cm, cut to requirement. Diameter 0.086”.

3. Nord Cryo Line - Cryogenic Low-Thermal-Conductivity Coaxial Cables

CuNi-based cryogenic cables with low thermal conductivity, designed for installation between different temperature stages in the cryostat. Fully non-magnetic and delivered with a formed loop for easy installation between fixed plates. Lengths range from 50 cm to 250 cm, measured end-to-end between connector interfaces. Diameter 0.047”.

4. Nord Cryo Line - Room-Temperature Coaxial Cables

High-thermal-conductivity, hand-formable, and non-magnetic cables for routing between control electronics and the cryostat, or between electronics units within or between racks. Sized at 0.141” with SMA-SMA connections, with lengths from 10 cm to 20 m. Stock lengths include 25 cm, 100 cm, 150 cm, and 200 cm.
